Influenced by late 70s, early 80s Japanese jazz-funk, fusion, city-pop, and acid-folk records from Yoshiko Sai, Yuji Ohno, and Minako Yoshida, Gravitas is a melodic set of soulful & psychedelic compositions. All tracks were mastered through an AKAI GX-635D reel-to-reel tape machine (recorded to Maxell XLI 35-180B tape) which was used in mastering studios across Japan during this era for added sonic accuracy, analogue warmth, and vintage character.
