The Audity 2000 takes its name from the classic and one-and-only Audity, but that’s about it. Although, the Audity 2000 has the same synthesis architecture as the Proteus, and the Proteus’s synth chips were designed with the original Audity in mind. The Audity 2000 is a digital synth with an unprecedented 16 simultaneous arpeggiators. That’s great for trance and techno! With an emphasis on electronic groove music, the Audity 2000 offers up many dance type sounds but with an uncomfortable digital “tinny” overtone. Its 12-pole digital resonant filter is nice…but it’s no Moog.

HQS Vol.2 is probably the definitive collection of sounds created and sampled in long format from a real Minimoog and sculpted by the synthisis tools in EVE and Wusik Station.You will find leads, split keyboards, basses , sound effects as well as extending the MiniMoog sound into spacial pads and synths with polyphony and stereo effects, thanks to the layering features of samplers. Amongst the sound set, you will find basses, organs, electric pianos, brass, pluck, fx and synthesised sounds, as well as a few of the formant sequences. But you wont find just professional mustisamples, also a bank of 128 EVE presets, featuring exciting and inspirational combinations of FS1r samples and EVE vintage sounds. Playing the sounds and making them come alive requires some techniques that were developed on the original MiniMoog. When playing leads, use the legato technique, playing smoothly on the keyboard without retriggering a full note on. Interesting timbres can be produced. The Legato technique along with pitch bend and mod wheel ( for vibrato) can create expressive leads and basses.

Orbitone Collection II was conceived very much as an extension to the original release of complex warm electronic textures made with unusual combinations of vintage technologies… Featuring The Worlds Oldest String Synth That Never Was!… The 1972 Eminent 310 Unique was a very unusual mix of combo organ and string synthesizer in its own right but what was particularly special about it was the triple parallel analog chorus processor with 6 free running clock modulating LFOs better known as the Orbitone. It is this complex multi-path analog effect that makes the famous strings on the 310U so very special and slightly simplified technology was later used to good effect in the Solina and ARP Omni string synthesizers. It was originally developed to effectively make one rank of sawtooths become three with a high degree of movement without resorting to the very significant expense and complexity of three full divide down chains with independent master oscillators.

Orgone 2 began as an experiment around the thought “what would a Hammond organ with sawtooth waves sound like ?” Slowly the idea grew into a huge modular machine that combines multisampled waveforms from several classic synths into a 1GB+ Kontakt sample instrument that goes way beyond the possibilities of any of the originals. Orgone 2 uses the basic additive architecture of the drawbar organ to create a deeply malleable instrument with huge magesy polyphony and a complex but relatively simple operating system. It then adds the filters, envelopes, LFOs, etc. of subtractive synthesis to each individual drawbar. It’s like having 4 classic 11 oscillator synths in one modular box. Because the quirks and character of the original ageing synths (30 plus years in the case of the CS15) have been retained Orgone 2 has a living organic sound.
