The Funk’d Up MIDI Pak is just waiting to take you on a funky inspirational journey with a slight fusion twist. In the style of Jamiroquai, Prince and Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) – or even Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Mars Volta – the beats and grooves make things a little bit more complicated – musically! The Funk’d Up MIDI Pak consists of 200+ live recorded MIDI files divided in 5 grooves, 5 beats and a bunch of fills in different tempos. The beats are more straightforward funk orientated beats with many variations such as 16th hihat, 8th hihat, 8th open hihat, ride bell etc. The grooves are busier and with variations such as hihat, ride, tom specials and sidestick. This MIDI Pak has everything you need to produce an authentic, organic groove with a great shuffle feel. It covers a variety of styles spanning from the Chicago and delta blues of the early 50’s all the way to modern blues rock. While working on this MIDI Pak, we immersed ourselves in the classic recordings of legendary blues artists (Sonny Boy Williamson, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters, BB King, Taj Mahal, ZZ Top, Ry Cooder, The Allman Brothers, etc.) which resulted in the creation of over 200 intros, outros, and song sections. You can play along to these sections as-is or modify them to suit your exact needs.
This MIDI Pak is not only “Loud, Large and Luxurious” like the Black Velvet ADpak, it’s sophisticated, hard-hitting and detailed – cut-through beats and songs played hard in different grooves and variations. Loud Beats & Songs covers many different styles from alternative rock, grunge, post-grunge to modern rock and experimental pop. Songs divided in parts (e.g. intro, verses, choruses, bridges) and beats with different variations, tempos and grooves (e.g. hihat, ride, crash, tom, fills) in 4/4 and 6/8. Mix and match beats, fills and grooves – arrange a complete song in minutes! This MIDI Pak is made as a compliment to the Black Velvet ADpak and is included in the Black Velvet Bundle. However it’s also a perfect compliment to Addictive Drums and suitable for use with any
of the ADpaks.
