TCS-68, an audio effect that pays homage to one of the most iconic cassette tape based 8-track recorders. The TCS-68 cassette tape channel effect includes a faithful recreation of the preamp, the tape system and the EQ. The original unit comprised a powerful 10-channel mixer that included a simple 3-band EQ, mic and line inputs as well as insert loops for each channel, an 8-track recorder with an advanced noise reduction system and a clearly arranged meter bridge. Given that it used compact cassettes as a recording medium it’s obvious that it was far from high fidelity sounding and thus aimed at semiprofessional users and smaller studios.

The F-59 is a recreation of the ’58 – ’60 era classic that set the course for decades of guitar amplification technology. Offering a wide range of tones the plugin tries to stay true to the original vibe while adding some convenient features in the digital domain. The F-59 comprises a faithful emulation of both preamplifier channels, the legendary tone stack network as well as the power amplifier including the revision A presence filter feedback circuit. A cabinet simulation and a linear level control have been added to meet the demands of ITB work flow. The cabinet stage can be bypassed for use with your preferred IR or cabinet emulation suite.

Bitspeek is a real-time pitch-excited linear prediction codec effect. Right now you are probably thinking, “oh, another one of those”? Or perhaps not. Chances are that you have never heard about “linear prediction”, although most of us use it daily when we talk on our cell phones. Linear prediction coding is a voice compression technology that appeared in commercial products in the seventies and was implemented in some well-known speaking toys of the early eighties. We have applied this technology to create a VST / AU effect plug-in that analyzes audio, extracts a number of parameters (including pitch, volume and formant data) and then resynthesizes the audio using a simple oscillator, noise and filter architecture. We have added a number of playback parameters that adjusts the pitch and tonal quality of the sound as well as support for MIDI and a beat-synchronized “formant freezing effect”. Despite having only a few simple controls, this box can produce a broad range of sounds from cheap speaking toys to high-end vocoder and talkbox effects.
