Sound unique with Thales Model I, the only plugin that recreates the sound of early software synthesizers of the sixties. You heard it right, all the way through the sixties Bell’s laboratories developed software synthesizers that were capable of producing an early form of sound synthesis: raw sawtooths, unstable organ like tones, almost clean sine waves and abstract soundscapes of white noise. With Thales Model I, you’ll be able to play with the tones generated by early sixties computers! Thales Model I features the tones generated by early sixties computer. The sounds have been sourced in public domain films, which means that they are not clean: tape noises and background hisses are part of the sound of this very special rompler. Because of this, Thales Model I’s sound is reminiscent of the Mellotron and other tape based keyboards of the sixties.

With a name like Retro Cazio, it probably won’t come as any great surprise to learn that SampleScience’s new free plugin emulates an old-school Casio keyboard. Specifically, we’re talking about the MT-100, a 1983 model that generated its sounds using the NEC D931 chip. This was very much an entry-level home keyboard, which explains the 20 toy-like sounds that Retro Cazio includes. There’s also a single drum kit, along with a multi-LFO, high-pass/low-pass filter, reverb, glide, an ADSR envelope and a choice of three voice modes (polyphonic, legato and mono).

Description: As we mentioned above, the basic version of the Vital VST is completely free and gives music producers access to nearly all of the synth’s features. This means that you’re getting the world’s most powerful spectral warping wavetable synth without having to pay a dime. In addition to the extra oscillator, Vital also features two fully-featured filter modules on its front panel. These filters can be routed independently, which makes for some really interesting sound design possibilities. You’ll also find an extra filter in the FX panel of Vital as well for good measure, of course. The important thing to note is that these filters can be routed however you’d like inside of Vital. This means you can run them in either serial mode or in parallel on any oscillator of your choosing.
