The Legend HZ has been designed with great care and attention to detail, so that no opportunities were missed to create a software synth which is both highly usable and insanely versatile. It is at heart the product of the combined knowledge of a genre-defining composer and Synapse Audio’s experience emulating an industry-defining synthesizer. Building on the success of The Legend, we’ve teamed up with Hans Zimmer to mark new ground in analog modeling synthesis. Multiple features have been added to The Legend HZ that were previously unavailable with The Legend. These include an additional three oscillators (and with them an added polyphony setting), a modulation matrix, a 32-step sequencer, an MSEG for added modulation controls, and an expanded effects section. The Legend HZ even contains a fixed filter bank that was modeled after Hans Zimmer’s personal Vintage 914 Fixed Filter Bank, an exceptional and rare piece of hardware.

Toxic is a 6-operator-FM synthesizer of highest quality, with alias-free oscillators, warm filters and precise envelopes. All controls are interpolated, allowing to tweak all parameters smoothly in realtime without clicks. A powerful effects section with an Equalizer, a Distortion unit and two Chorus, Flanger and Delay units completes this excellent generator. The Toxic interface was very carefully designed- despite having many parameters, Toxic features are a very streamlined GUI, allowing rapid access to all relevant parameters – no hidden pages or endless searching for a specific parameter. Toxic 3 is the successor of the award-winning Toxic 2 synthesizer. One of the warmest, crisp, and clear Frequency Modulation engines around, it owes its sound to the precise calculation of the digital signal. Due to high-resolution DSP processing, it produces sounds with an extremely low noise threshold – something that most FM engines cannot offer. The Toxic 3 also includes superior analog-modeling techniques in the filter section. Powerful effects such as EQ, a Distortion unit and two Chorus/Flanger/Delay sections, complete this excellent generator. The user interface is easy to comprehend and allows instant access to all relevant parameters. An additional tool is the built-in sequencer. It offers a total of 64 steps, which can be divided into two independent, 32 step modules to allow double-polyphonic patterns. With its “Smart Sequencer” technology, when a chord is played, the module defines that chord, and tunes the pattern accordingly. The sequencer also allows for pure playback of the programmed sequence from single notes.

DUNE 2 was rewritten from scratch, in order to provide a yet higher sound quality and allow for an even wider range of sounds. New oscillators, new filters, new effects and graphical envelopes are just some of the new additions. With a maximum reserve of 8320 oscillators at full polyphony, DUNE 2 is a true unison monster, unlikely to ever run out of oscillators. DUNE 2 is available as VST/AU/AAX plugin for Windows and Mac OS X. The VST/AU version comes in both 32- and 64-bit versions, the ProTools version is 64-bit only.
