Meet our very first virtual instrument, Minipol – a powerful virtual analog synthesizer with a lot of fun and a unique Smart Random feature! Recreate classic analog keys, chunky 80s basses, kick-ass house stabs, or design massive soundscapes, modern plucks, or analog effects in no time. Quality sound engine, straightforward design, super intuitive workflow: this is Minipol, the swiss-army-knife of the analog sound.
The Lowdown Bass Synthesizer recreates the super-fat, room-rattling sounds of the most legendary dual-oscillator bass pedal synth ever made. Heard on countless prog-rock and new wave tracks in the 70s and 80s, this floor pedal monster comes to the desktop for the very first time. From the dual “constant-beat” oscillators to the girthy ladder filter, DSP wizard Mark Barton (MRB) has modeled every aspect of the original with exceptional accuracy. Get down to the ground with Lowdown! Outside of a handful of organ-oriented instruments, the original instrument was the first dedicated foot-controlled bass synthesizer, and with its colossal tone, unquestionably the best sounding. It was used by some of the top acts of 70s and 80s, including Rush, Yes, Genesis, U2, and The Police (check out the intro of “Don’t Stand So Close To Me” or Phil Collins’ “I Don’t Care Anymore.”)
We placed the awe-inspiring Yamaha CFX Concert Grand Piano in Abbey Road Studio One, where award-winning engineers used the world’s greatest microphones and equipment to create a stunning virtual instrument library. A truly remarkable virtual piano: The Garritan Abbey Road Studios CFX Concert Grand places the user on the bench before the Yamaha CFX, an incredible concert grand piano characterized by a wide palette of tonal colors and the ability to create the most subtle, expressive nuances. This beautiful instrument is matched with the stunning acoustics of Abbey Road Studios’ legendary Studio One and the finest collection of microphones in the world. All facets of this project – the instrument, the room, the mics, and the recording expertise – work together to create the finest sampled piano ever captured. Experience the passion reflected in every detail.
The Garritan libraries are proudly powered by the ARIA Player. No need to purchase a separate sampler.
Introducing Mantis307 a fat, mean, and rubbery VSTi synth that was influenced by the raucous sonic stylings of classic synths like the tb303, mc202, nord3, OSCar and juno60. Features killer unison and distortion, as well as an agressive constant time slide (predictable portamento). In addition, 2 oscillators + subosc per voice, sync, mono and polyphonic modes, keyboard tracking, and 3 envelope curve types. (and much much more!). And with a super low CPU footprint that lets you layer many mantis sounds without breaking a sweat. Mantis307 was created for raw acidic sound design! ::: Mantis really shines when used like a tb303, as a bassline acid monosynth. To get you started, there are several teebee presets to get the aciiid juices flowing. But don’t be fooled, Mantis’s range of sounds include much much more than just 303 and basses, hit the audio samples below to see.
Miniverse (formerly Minimode) is a painstaking virtual emulation of the granddaddy of all portable synthesizers. Introduced in 1971, no other instrument is more associated with the word “synthesizer” – it’s perhaps the best-known and loved analog synthesizer ever made. Though its innards weren’t identical to the massive modular synths, it shared the thick, juicy, “fat” analog sound that remains unchallenged 50 years later! It set the standard for future synthesizers, inspired whole new genres of music, and defined the sound of artists as diverse as Kraftwerk, Herbie Hancock, Rick Wakeman, Pink Floyd, Parliament, Gary Numan, and countless others. Miniverse was conceived as the ultimate tribute to the original instrument. We focused on a single principle: absolute authenticity.
