Cats Connector is an audio & MIDI streaming plug-in that can be used to transmit audio and MIDI signals in real time between several computers or applications, or create your own routings within a single application, with minimal latency. Have you ever dreamt to overcome the limitations of your favorite DAW and draw virtual audio and MIDI cables between any places that accept plug-ins? Have you ever been frustrated not to be able to create feedback loops with plug-ins? What about connecting multiple applications together, on different computers? The wait is over! Blue Cat’s Connector lets you do all of this, and more! It can stream audio and MIDI data in real time, between any locations that accepts plug-ins: one or several applications, on one or several machines connected to a network.
Synthesizer Expander Module is a free emulation of the classic Oberheim® self‑contained synthesizer module of the same name. Originally released in 1974, the keyboardless, mono module was intended as a companion to the one of the earliest digital sequencers, the Oberheim DS-2. Soon thereafter, Oberheim linked multiple Synthesizer Expander Modules to an early digitally scanned keyboard to create some of the first polyphonic synthesizers, used by legendary artists including Joe Zawinul, Toto’s Steve Porcaro, Styx, and Jan Hammer. Though it was a simple, barebones monosynth, the Synthesizer Expander Module possessed a unique tone quality, courtesy of its 12 dB/oct state-variable filter. With lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and notch modes, this flexible filter was the star of the show. We’ve precisely recreated it here with a filter section and Phasor effect programmed by award-winning synth designer Mark Barton (MRB).
GlissEQ is a powerful parametric dynamic equalizer plug-in. The most interesting and unique feature GlissEQ offers is its filters with dynamic behavior. When using a normal equalizer you always get what you have set: if you specify a 6 dB boost at 100 Hz you get exactly a 6 dB boost at 100 Hz – GlissEQ offers you a slightly different approach: when you specify +6 dB at 100 Hz, you don’t necessarily get 6 dB of gain, the filter’s effective gain is adjusted dynamically according to the sound material you are filtering. Such “dynamic behavior” of GlissEQ’s filters gives you a friendly, assisting equalization experience. Boosting up the highs will not create the fatiguing effect of overload; boosting up the lows will not make things sound mushy. Instead, you will get a pleasant transient-emphasizing effect bringing life and dimension to your tracks. The pronunciation of the dynamic behavior can be controlled via special “Dyn” parameter. In reality, this “Dyn” parameter adds a whole new dimension to the equalizer as you know it, according to Voxengo. Beside this “dynamic behavior”, GlissEQ features a real-time spectrum analyzer. Moreover, the spectrum of a track can be exported to any other instance of GlissEQ thus making real-time inter-track spectrum comparisons possible. This can help you free frequency ranges in one track to allow the instrument in another track occupying same frequencies breathe.
Voxformer is a multi-functional vocal channel strip AAX, AudioUnit, and VST plugin for professional audio applications. Combining several professional quality processing modules, Voxformer was designed to be a comprehensive solution for all your vocal processing needs – be it spoken or sung vocals. The coolest feature of Voxformer is its one-knob vocal compressor. Using only a single knob, you can get a tight, open, and definitive professional vocal sound with an excellent articulation instantly. You do not have to worry about common ratio and make-up gain controls since they are automatically selected by the advanced compression algorithm, while the attack and release parameters are stored in a mode preset. Moreover, Voxformer features two compressors of this type, allowing you to apply either a two-band or a two-stage (serial) vocal compression. Voxformer also features the de-esser with selectable center frequency and threshold. Multi-band noise gate is available, which, in a manner similar to the compressor, was designed to bring ease of tuning while providing excellent sonic results. For those who like a saturated vocal sound, Voxformer implements a special module which applies a smooth saturation. Another useful feature Voxformer has to offer is the presence boosting module which you can use to add some shine and space to the vocals.
HarmoniEQ is a parametric, harmonically-enhanced equalizer plug-in for professional music production applications. Harmonic enhancement HarmoniEQ applies to the sound is an inherent element of its overall sonic quality. HarmoniEQ also features dynamic equalization modes that offer you a vast palette of sound-shaping capabilities, suitable for mastering. Since the easiness of tuning was one of Voxengo’s goals when producing this plug-in, HarmoniEQ features a single control surface to control the equalizer curve. HarmoniEQ’s control surface workflow implements Voxengo’s best findings in the area of “user-equalizer” interaction. Just drag the filter control points to the right places. You can enable up to 7 filter bands, with the filter type freely-selectable from peaking, low-shelf, high-shelf, low-pass, high-pass and notch filter types.
Polysquasher is a mastering compressor AAX, AU and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications. Polysquasher was designed with a main goal: to be transparent. Transparent compression action is a cornerstone for any mastering compressor. Transparency of audio signal processing is necessary to preserve all existing elements in the mix, while compression itself is necessary to make the mix sound uniform to other mixes (tracks) and to make it sound more solid and “glued”. Polysquasher achieves its goal by using a unique compression algorithm which requires a small number of parameters – basically threshold and ratio only – making this compressor a joy to use. More advanced settings are hidden in the “compressor mode editor” panel where you can create your own compressor modes that can be easily recalled later.
