In pursuit of creating the most musical form of equalization, D.W. Fearn originally designed the VT-5 to deliver tone shaping that feels natural, expressive, and deeply satisfying to use. With a tube-driven character that enhances rather than alters, it brings out the best in any source with remarkable ease. It’s an EQ that feels intuitive and rewarding, lets mixes breathe and helps sounds sit with confidence. More than a tool, it embodies a philosophy: musicality is the true measure of great engineering. In partnership with D.W. Fearn, we’ve recreated the complete sonic fingerprint of this highly regarded equalizer. Through our proprietary component-level modeling techniques, every transformer, tube stage, curve, and musical nuance of the VT-5 is faithfully captured with the flexibility and workflow enhancements of a modern plugin.
Add some retro charm to your music with the iconic sound of this ’70s electro-mechanical piano called the Pianet T. The reeds in the Pianet T aren’t struck, but instead are engaged by NASA-patented pink plastic suction pads that suck on the reeds until they snap loose and begin to vibrate. Small coils, similar to guitar pickups, then convert the vibrations into electrical sound. The intricate sounds produced by these coils comprise numerous sine waves. In the case of the Pianet T model, it occasionally necessitates the computation of over 100 sine waves to craft its distinct sound profile. To ensure optimal performance without overtaxing the CPU, we’ve integrated an enhanced iteration of the formula pioneered by the seventh-century Indian mathematician Bhāskara Ⅰ. This fusion of ancient methodologies with cutting-edge twentieth-century NASA techniques is seamlessly integrated into our plugin, resulting in a harmonious marriage of tradition and innovation.
Scanner Vibrato is a virtual effect plug-in that aims to recreate the scanner-vibrato effect from a well-known tonewheel organ. The original scanner-vibrato was developed in the 1940s, and was an analog, electromechanical device, consisting of an analog delay line and a mechanical rotor (“scanner”). The rotor was driven by the organ’s internal motor, and therefore its rate was fixed at about 6.9 Hz. The original scanner-vibrato could produce both chorus and vibrato effects, and it offered three depth presets. Read more about the history of the Scanner Vibrato.

Though it has gone by many names, turquoise get its current name from French pierre tourques, or “Turkish Stone.” This phrase refers to the Turkish traders who introduced the gem to Europe via the Silk Road in the 13th century. Ancient Persians believed that turquoise could prevent them from harm and covered their daggers and bridles with it. They referred to turquoise as pirouzeh, which translates to “victory.” The Native Americans Apaches wore turquoise as talismans and believed that attaching it to weapons and bows made for better aim. Aztec chiefs wore turquoise jewelry as a mark of authority. P422 Fairuz will bring out the natural resonance and richness of the instrument you are EQ-ing. Even at extreme boosts or cuts, the integrity of the sound is maintained.
