​​MANDOLIN TEXTURES is a Kontakt instrument created using the sound of an acoustic mandolin. On some patches the sound is heavily manipulated, giving birth to unexpected sonic creations. Mandolin Textures – Unexpected Sonic Creations for Kontakt This instrument does not represent a sampled mandolin with all articulations. This is an inspiring tool which is based on a mandolin source, and is highly inspiring and musical. The first two patches are standard muted mandolin sounds, which we like a lot and find highly flexible and natural. The Muted Mandolin patch is sampled in 4 velocity layers and 3 round robins. Other patches are various textures, pads and ambient sounds. Mandolin is sampled with a Royer SF 12 stereo microphone in combination with an original Neve 1073 stereo pair of preamps OR occasionally Millenia HV-3C.

Miago Trod is a giant resonating lamellaphone that’s tuned chromatically and played percussively. Its mysteriously bassy and metallic timbre is ideal for your next scoring project that needs something truly unique. Miago Trod is a giant resonating lamellaphone created by master instrument inventor Bart Hopkin. It stands over five feet tall, with 22 threaded rods of varying lengths in two rows. The rods are tuned chromatically and played percussively. Part of the special character of this experimental device is found in the relative tuning of the upper and lower segments. They are long enough that the fundamentals are subsonic, and the tone is of various overtones. The range of rod lengths was chosen so that in the upper, shorter segments, one overtone is strong enough to stand out as the defining pitch, while other overtones contribute to a coherent blend. Meanwhile, the longer lower segment has similar sets of overtone relationships with a predominant pitch an octave below the upper segment. When either the upper or lower segment is struck, the two parts interact to further enrich the tone. The final result is a mysterious bassy and metallic timbre, ideal for your next scoring project that needs something truly unique.

We just used the Taperight Piano, the impulse responses included, the delay(which is also present on the interface) and love to create these. The Taperight Piano Bundle features samples of a lovely pretty old upright piano in two versions for Kontakt 5: 40’s – Sampled through a very worn tape machine from the forties. An awesome, saturated  and vibey instrument. 70’s – Sampled through another tape machine, this time in better condition, warm, with a nice creamy low end, less saturated than it’s older brother. Listen to the samples if you didn’t and notice all the character, grit/warmth, and amazing dynamics you’ll be getting when you buy this awesome bundle!

6 sample sets from this superb 70s string synth (the Logan melody 2) ‘mellotronized’ onto tape, using vintage 60s valve equipment and recorders. Use the software synthesis capabilities of ESX24 or KONTAKT to create unique new sounds, previously unavailable from this keyboard. Can sound very like a cs80 (Bladerunner) at times, as well as a great oscillator source for conventional synthesis, rather than just the limited string sounds that the original synth was restricted to.. Over 60 preset patches and 10 multis for kontakt 4.2.2, and 80 patches for esx24. The full version of Kontakt 3 or 4 will be needed to play this product,and version 4.2.2 to utilise the patches. Both Kontakt and Esx24 banks/patches are in this download,as well as files compatible with Nnxt and Structure, but no patches at present for these.

Our goal was to create something as close to the analogue sound as possible, and keep it simple, functional, and straight to the point. We wanted all sounds to be solid and ready to use. Put simply, we wanted it to sound HUGE! And we think we’ve done it! We’re extremely proud of this hybrid synth and have found it an incredible experience to build, and to use. We teamed up with renowned producer Yoad Nevo, and spent months sampling away at his various analogue synthesisers. We owe a big thanks to Yoad for his expert synth advise and programming, and to everyone else involved in the production of this, especially Phil from Samplephonics, whose attention to detail and scripting expertise has enabled this idea to become a reality.
