Microtuner by Ableton is a MIDI device that lets you import, edit, and generate microtonal scales. Load scale files, create custom scales, and morph between tunings in real time – all with polyphony, MPE, and Lead/Follow modes to sync your scales across instruments.
Now in public beta is CV Tools, a new Pack of 10 Max for Live devices that generate or receive Pitch, Control, Clock and Trigger CV. Soon you’ll be able to receive and modulate CV between your modular or other CV-based gear and Ableton Live 10 using a compatible, DC-coupled audio interface. You’ll also be able to use Live as the tempo leader or set it to follow your modular system clock. Plus, even if you don’t own a modular setup, the Rotating Rhythm Generator and CV Utility devices can add modular-style workflow inside Live or to hardware setups that don’t use CV-based equipment. CV Tools is being developed by Ableton in collaboration with Skinnerbox.

Now you can use UAD plugins without having to open the GUI window every time you want to change a parameter. This combines the best of two worlds: the use of UAD plugins, and the ease of an Ableton native one. These UAD wrappers mimic all the visual behavior of the plugins. So the led lights will glow, the VU meter needles will move, the buttons can be pressed, the knobs will turn, and every other visual aspect will be like the original plugins’ GUI.
