Pi is an innovative, multi-channel phase interactions mixer plug-in engine for Mac and PC. Pi works to improve the summing of a DAW or a mixer. Pi dynamically minimizes frequency cancellations between instruments within the mix, improves mono compatibility and brings back the lost depth and focus lost when overlapping frequencies collide. Good phase relationships between mixer tracks, are a key to great sounding mix. Normally, where mixer channels are summed into a single stereo mix bus, instruments overlap and interact with each-other across the frequency range and phase position. Often, a bass track could be temporarily out-of-phase with the kick or rhythm guitar tracks, and when summed into a mix, end up cancelling each-other over the overlapping frequency range, causing a temporary “hole” in the low end. Similarly, a snare track could end up sounding thin in a mix when the toms resonance are out of phase with the snare.
Styled as virtual 500-Series format modules, the bundle includes the EQ500 and DYN500, channel EQ and dynamics VST plugins. The DYN500 provides soft-knee compression, and a gentle ‘tape saturation’ style overdrive when driven at high levels. The EQ500 provides a versatile three band parametric EQ, using our Analogue Filter Modelling algorithms to accurately replicate a natural sounding analogue filter response without requiring high sample rates or CPU intensive upsampling, allowing more plugin instances in a typical DAW. The FC70 emulates the legendary smooth, effortless dynamic control and uniquely musical character of the classic Fairchild 670 limiter. Modelled using measured data and schematics from genuine hardware, the FC70 uses a fully balanced design, combined with innovative delay-free feedback topology to emulate the original circuitry. The sidechain includes the fast attack and program dependent release settings of the original, combined with Lateral / Vertical, Independent and Linked stereo channel modes.
Plogue’s new soft-synthesizer turns your VST, AU or RTAS host into a classic video game console, vintage 8bit home computer and even an 80s arcade. Plogue chipsounds authentically emulates 15 vintage 8bit-era sound chips (on top of their variants), down to their smallest idiosyncrasies. But more interestingly, it also faithfully allows you to dynamically reproduce the accidentally discovered sounds effect tricks and abusive musical techniques that were made famous by innovative chip music composers and classic video game sound designers, which for the good part of the last 3 decades, have pushed beyond the boundaries of the original chip designs. In short, whether you are already versed into chiptune/chip music or just interested in those sounds, this is one unique instrument for you!
Chipcrusher is an advanced bitcrusher, a speaker simulator and noise machine. It’s an audio effect which plays back input audio through a simulation of early lofi digital audio codecs (DAC Encoding), adds grit (Background Noise), and outputs through a selection of speaker and filter impulse responses (Post-Processing).
