All recorded through some of the finest analogue outboard and presented in various tonal variations this Components pack gives you the edge when it comes to getting the top end just right. When making these hats and the loops we used a mix of techniques. Some loop we recorded direct from the legendary TR-909, some we created using old samplers but all of them are swinging and grooving with a life and musicality which will bring your beat alive be it House music, Disco, EDM, Hip hop or something else. Each section also comes with a full complement of sampler programs making it easy to import these into your sampler whatever your using be it Ableton, Kontakt, Reason, Battery or another.

With real analog oscillators, famed Curtis low-pass filters, and analog VCAs, the Prophet ’08 is capable of reproducing the familiar sounds of its legendary predecessors. But modern features like a greatly expanded modulation matrix and additional modulation sources—such as three envelopes and four LFOs per voice—take it way beyond vintage gear and make it a worthy and unique addition to the Prophet family tree. Features include a gated 16 x 4 step sequencer, arpeggiator, split or stacked key modes with separate stereo outputs per layer, and rack ears for optional rack-mounting. The Prophet ’08 module can also be used as an expander to increase the polyphony of another Prophet ’08—keyboard or module—to 16 voices.

Keyboard workstations have always been something of a Korg speciality, ever since they created the concept almost 20 years ago with the M1. Does their latest offering, the M3, live up to its pedigree? About once a decade, Korg rewrite the rules for making music on affordable keyboards. In 1988, the M1 defined what we call a workstation. Nothing that it embodied was new: PCM samples, sequencing and effects had all been used in keyboards from other manufacturers, but the ‘AI’ architecture of the M1 did it more elegantly and more affordably than it had ever been done before. Then, in 1995, the Trinity introduced the combination of touchscreens, genuinely multitimbral effects, hard disk recording and digital I/O to the mainstream keyboard world. Not only was the Trinity radical in the way that it combined these technologies, but the price — as it had been for the M1 — was remarkable for such a groundbreaking product.

Waveform 72 derives from the front end of a famous 70’s monosynth – all 7 waveforms from the oscillators plus pink and white noise ‘mellotronized’ with 60s valve recording equipment . Use the software synthesis of EXS24 or KONTAKT to stack these oscillators into complex polysynths, and your imagination with the modulation/filters/effects etc to create epic sounding analogue monstrosities! Looped samples also compatible with NNXT and Structure, but no presets I’m afraid. 100 patches and 20 multis for Kontakt 4.2.2 or later 150 patches for EXS24 Super fat basses with this, and capable of the warmest most analogue drum kits you’ve ever heard…
