The first additive synth for Reason is now available – the Parsec Spectral Synthesizer. Parsec is truly an amazing piece of audio engineering, capable of sounds that would simply never be possible in the virtual analog realm of Thor and Subtractor. Today NS has released the first Reason ReFill created specifically for Parsec – Hyperdrive. Are you ready to blast off into the spectral reaches of Reason? Hyperdrive contains a full palette of new sounds for Parsec, suitable for a variety of electronic music genres – such as ambient, IDM, trance, or filmscore. NS has employed five experienced sound designers to produce a ReFill of truly varied scope. Inside Hyperdrive you’ll find their work has produced Blade Runner-esque FX, piercing psychedelic leads, glassy sweeping pads, hybrid Parsec/Thor duets as well deep sci-fi atmospheres.

Koto Nation was created to truly capture the beautiful sounds of three traditional Japanese instruments: the Koto, Bass Koto, and Shamisen, as performed by koto legend Masayo Ishigure (Memoirs of a Geisha w/ Yo-Yo Ma and John Williams). The instruments were intimately mixed and recorded with multiple dynamic levels and round-robin variations for maximum realism and playability.

AKAi MPC60 Vol. 3 MULTiFORMAT

MPC60 Vol. 3 features over 1,000 sounds sampled on a vintage Akai MPC-60 sampler. This is the last in the MPC60 series of sample packs. It includes: Layered Drums, Vinyl Drums, Various Drum Machines, FX and even some synth sounds…. all sampled on the MPC60. Then captured as 24 bit wav files. These are some seriously solid samples dripping with the 60’s legendary sonic character. Taking a look at the sound sources for volume 3 of the MPC60 series you may notice some familiar names like the Oberheim DMX, Emu Drumulator, Roland CR-78, MFB522, Vermona DRM and Linn LM-1 drum machines. It looks like went crate digging in his own sample collection!.
