The library is based on 23 oriental percussion samples (Darbuka) with tempo information. Each phrase is usually between 1,2 or 4 bars long. Two of the most powerful and balanced active EMG pickups were paired with boutique amps, effects and custom re-amping to achieve a thunderous guitar tone, tailored to cut its way through busy mixes in any genre: cinematic, orchestral and modern rock music in particular.
Orgone 2 began as an experiment around the thought “what would a Hammond organ with sawtooth waves sound like ?” Slowly the idea grew into a huge modular machine that combines multisampled waveforms from several classic synths into a 1GB+ Kontakt sample instrument that goes way beyond the possibilities of any of the originals. Orgone 2 uses the basic additive architecture of the drawbar organ to create a deeply malleable instrument with huge magesy polyphony and a complex but relatively simple operating system. It then adds the filters, envelopes, LFOs, etc. of subtractive synthesis to each individual drawbar. It’s like having 4 classic 11 oscillator synths in one modular box. Because the quirks and character of the original ageing synths (30 plus years in the case of the CS15) have been retained Orgone 2 has a living organic sound.

With the arrival of modern day mixers like Traktor and Serato we had the opportunity to make our own sounds to scratch on control vinyl, we put together tailor made kick, snare, hat and perc hits in different combinations, then using different styles and techniques of scratching created the drum scratch loops, in some cases we used the same methods to create subtle percussion layers.
