I found this old, unused mandolin, hanging on a wall in a dark corner of my cellar. I bought it about 10 years ago in a local music store. I played it for some time, but then turned to another instruments and good old mandolin got down there. When I saw it after such a long time I knew immediately, that its time has come again. The result is a mandolinesque experimental library, what is emphasized by quite a lot of percussive sounds I got from its body, neck, strings beating and knocking them with my hands. Old Mandolin already in its first edition was not meant to be an exact sonic portrait of this instrument. As the title “Old Mandolin” implies, the goal was capturing the instrument with its flaws and imperfections to maintain its organic value, unpredictability and obscurity. Rubbed off frets, tuning issues and “not that great sound” really would not compete for more, but there are always more angles to take the view from.

gEQ12 is 12 band stereo/MS graphic equalizer with accurate spectrum analyzer and minimum/linear phase modes. Today’s mixing and mastering processes require a full featured but easy to use equalizer which can accurately shape the tone of a track , bus or master track. eEQ12 provides all necessary tools in one package paired with some unique features. The display shows the spectrum curve of incoming and outgoing signal. gEQ12 has the unique feature that the outgoing spectrum is directly calculated from incoming spectrum (incoming spectrum – filter curve = outgoing spectrum). This allows you to capture the incoming signal, to freeze it and to modify then the filter curve based on the altered outgoing spectrum. The filter response is controlled by 12 individual filter bands. Each filter band has its own display handle, which can be adjusted by mouse.
dEQ6 controls the filter gain of each band by a compressor/expander. This reduces or increases the gain in a specific frequency range, depending on the program material. The detector signal for the compressor/expander is processed by a pre filter which is controlled by the centre frequency and Q-factor of the dynamic filter. This ensures that the compressor/expander is only activated by content in the specified frequency range. dEQ6 is a 6 band stereo/MS dynamic equalizer with high quality oversampling and accurate spectrum analyzer.
