    ‘Stoned Disco Grooves’ is a woozy dive into the world of warped disco drums, manipulated drum machine loops, dreamy spring reverbs and infectious washes of analog FX. From the tight rim shots to the swung hi-hat patterns, each one of these loops will slide your racks into a world of dreams and late night woozy aesthetics. Broken down into 4 tempos that range from 90-120 BPM, each loop would fit perfectly into the world of electronica, alt-disco or classic house. We’re talking 4×4 rhythms, triplet delay processing snare grooves, dusty kick patterns, 80s drum machine conga grooves and some timeless envelope filter goodness. As with all Touch Loops collections, each of these warped disco grooves is mix-ready, saturated and kissed with that touch of vintage spring reverb that we all know and love!

    Kalimba – also known as mbira or thumb piano, this instrument has its roots in African music with ethnomusicologist Hugh Tracey bringing the instrument to countries abroad in the 20th Century. To add a unique and modern twist we sampled a Hugh Tracey kalimba with nail (performing in a more traditional style where the nail is used on the metal tongues), finger (where the finger tip is used excluding nail, a slightly softer attack is obtained) and the incredible sound of the Kalimba played with a rubber. This results in a soft, rounded sound that works wonderfully with the earthly ring create when performing the instrument. All these samples were then used to create mini performances through a chain of out-board gear to create Moods, consisting of microloops, textures and sonic oddities that add a wealth of potential for the user to create unique sounds and soundscapes.
