These loops and samples can be used across a range of dubstep and experimental music genres to create incredible new sounds and rhythms. Moods range from melodic, ambient and expressive to dark, dirty and downright evil.

Organic Loop Elements is a completely unique concept in audio sampling, and is the first sample pack of many more to come from composer George Baldwin. Touching on a wide range of musical styles, these loops and samples are designed to fit in with a range of genres, including soundtrack, chillout, house, techno, dubstep and drum and bass. A journey through music, this sample pack incorporates a wide range of sounds and instruments, from funky bass loops on the chapman stick to evolving guitar soundscapes samples to looping vocal sounds and effects. We wanted to create something new and fresh, yet also draw inspiration from the early days of record sampling. In a very digital age, we felt there was a lack of good quality real music loops and samples available. After discussing this with George we came up with the concept of providing looping music riffs from a variety of natural instrument sounds and in a range of different styles.

Haaze provides two different ways of making a mono (or a not-wide-enough-stereo) signal to a wider stereo signal. By splitting the input signal into 16 different frequency regions, spanning from 20 Hz to 20kHz, Haaze can add different amount of stereo-widening to different frequency regions. This makes it possible to transform a mono track into a natural sounding stereo track (by for example keeping lower frequencies in mono while spreading the higher ones). Haaze is using two different stereo widening techniques, Haas (short delays between left and right channel) and ”Split EQ” (different gain on different channels on different frequency regions).

The second half of the course then focuses on more advanced techniques, including sidechain options, peak and RMS detection, parallel processing and multi-band compression.
