With a focus on darker, organic, edgier, distorted and noisier sounds inspired by artists such as Jesper Kyd, Björk and Yoko Kanno and composers such as Tyler Bates, Jóhann Jóhannsson, Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross and Michl Britsch.  This sound set offers a staggering amount of choices and is surprisingly versatile, equally at home in both epic cinematic hybrid trailer music and underscore/experimental type of film scores. Zebra “Pandora” delivers inspiring arpeggios and sequences, low, powerful, distorted basses and bass lines, keyboards, dark sub pulses, fx’s, atmospheric steam pads, dark expansive soundscapes and edgy inspiring leads, reminiscent of sounds from movies such as “Sicario”, “Assassins Creed II”, “Ex Machina”, “Pandorum”, “Monsters” and “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”.

Best suited for cinematic underscore/experimental style music. Zebra Transcendence focuses on original sounds custom tailored for today’s film/tv composer. Zebra Transcendence delivers mellow fluid and textured arpeggios, low, powerful, filtered basses and bass lines, inspiring original leads, driving, dark pulses, outer worldly fx’s, soft ambient, filtered, atmospheric pads, and vast experimental soundscapes. These sounds borrow from a variety of influential artists such as William Orbit, David Sylvian, Daft Punk and noted composers such as Thomas Newman, James Newton Howard, Jon Hopkins, Steven Price and Jóhann Jóhannsson. Many patches offer added adaptability programmed into the modwheel and the X/Y pads, to make these sounds come alive.

Synthesizer Workhorse with Stripes

Zebra is our wireless modular synthesizer. It combines many different types of synthesis with a powerful modulation engine. Imagine – you can create any additive, freehand or spline-based waveform you like, apply a vast selection of spectral effects, morph between those waves and send them through classic synth filters. Perhaps use that entire sound as modulator for an FM oscillator, or route it through a comb filter – the building block of physical modeling synthesis. All generator modules, all signal paths, all effects are stereo.

Battery Leak is a collection of 64 instruments inspired by the crunchy-smooth character of DCO synths such as the Roland Alpha Juno and dense digital timbres reminiscent of PPG wavetables, upgraded with a modern edge via Zebra’s oscillator capabilities ranging in tones from detailed multi-PWM, rich hard-sync sounds and silky superwaves to solid EDM/rave with borderline chiptune crunch. Hard to define really… basically you’re getting a diverse yet coherent, multi-range EDM orientated collection with a fair dose of niche and character. Also, the overall sound would be more like bright, digital and opened, rich in harmonics rather than heavily filtered, a little on the aggressive side but without sounding harsh, too hyped-up or distorted.

Penumbra is a new dark cinematic soundset inspired in drama and suspense. The purpose of Penumbra is to bring you a state of the art soundset for your sonic arsenal. Comprised with unsettling atmospheres, spaced and long leads, dissonant keys and mallets, industrial sound effects and backgrounds, mysterious and tense arpeggios, sinister sequences, creepy toy music boxes and complex metallic rhythms. Penumbra also makes use of custom wavetables to add a unique sound to the patches and go beyond the factory wavetables. Plus it has tape emulated delays in a good number of patches, be prepared for a rich analog sound!
