Limited-MAX is a specialized limiter, based on the foundation of being a capable look-ahead brickwall limiter suitable for final mixing or mastering. Limited-MAX dynamically combines several unique limiting algorithms to provide transparent limiting on all audio sources. Limited-MAX is capable of substantial levels of compression/limiting without inadvertently creating excessive amounts of audible distortion. Limited-MAX is highly configurable and suitable for a wide range of musical sources. Limited-MAX exposes all aspects of the multi-process limiting algorithm. This lets the user continually adjust and find the best sound from a vast number of options, instead of choosing from only a handful of algorithms. Other features include standard attack and release controls, adjustable look-ahead, adjustable stereo linking, and a variable style control that changes the sound and shape of the limiter’s compression curve. Additionally, Limited-MAX includes a selectable DC filter and complete dithering controls, with selectable dither noise shape and psychoacoustic filtering.

Clipped-MAX is multifaced clipping tool designed for a wide range of mixing and mastering applications – from subtle to extreme. Clipped-Max includes 4 distinct clipping modules that can be rearranged to produce a variety of effects. Built into Clipped-MAX is minimal and linear phase oversampling that extends to 128x. The modules for Clipped-MAX include SHIFTER, STEREO, M-BAND, and MASTER. The SHIFTER module is based on Clipped-MAX’s predecessor, ClipShifter. The clipping threshold can be dynamically altered based on the incoming signal. The STEREO module splits the incoming signal into mid and side channels, and each channel has separate clipping controls before being combined into left and right output signals. The M-BAND module splits the signal into 2 to 6 different EQ bands for separate clipping. Each band’s clipping amount and clipping algorithm is separate and configurable. The MASTER module includes eleven different clipping algorithms, including an intersample peak option for monitoring and stopping intersample peaks.

Ravity can be thought of as a “bread and butter” synth module, as it has all the basics you’d probably need. Using its many layers, filters, and effects, you can get a great variety of sounds from this nice rompler. I really like the interface, and the quick loading times.
