    In this in-depth mixing tech house video course, house music guru Larry Holcombe walks you through everything you need to know in order to create an awesome-sounding tech house mix—from the prepping stage all the way through to the final bus processing. You’ll learn invaluable skills like how to use parallel compression, saturation, clipping, sidechaining, and much more. By the end, you’ll be ready to implement your newfound skills to produce a mix you can truly be proud to share. These videos are designed for tech house producers looking to improve their mixes. Larry kicks off the course with an overview of what’s going to be covered, followed by a look at everything involved in prepping the session for mixing. He then sets basic levels for all the tracks based off the kick. Then he shows you how to achieve the all-important pumping effect with sidechain compression and works on shaping some of the transients by adjusting the volume envelopes of certain loops and sounds. Next, you’ll explore the art of subtractive EQ, which is used to help filter out unwanted hum and air so that things stay clean and uncluttered throughout the frequency spectrum. Then Larry shows you how to achieve front-back perspective with compression by adjusting the attack and release times.
