iZ’s RX 5 is a specialized audio editor and restoration application aimed primarily at those working on dialogue and music in post production and broadcast. In this iZ RX 5 video tutorial, we employ many of its available modules are to repair and optimise some poorly recorded audio files. After a general introduction to RX 5, its interface, preferences and settings, we show you how to use the various selection tools to focus on specific parts of an audio file. Then we explore the Spectral Repair module and Gain function and look at the removal of mains hum and its harmonics with the Dehum module.

This video series is designed for beginner to intermediate level FL Studio 12 Producer addition users. The objective of this course is to familiarize you with the FL Studio 12 workflow and introduce you to some tips and tricks when building custom sounds as we write a Chillstep track. After we have completed writing a track from scratch we will dive into more specific techniques as we cover beat making and vocal processing using some of the great tools in FL Studio and you’ll get to see how these tools can be used to create some of the signature sounds you hear in Pop, Hip-Hop and R&B.

Waves C1 is, without doubt, one of the finest compressor plugins every made, and in this series of six in-depth videos, we show you to push it to the limits. We start with a tour of the C1’s parameters and a rundown of its various versions, before getting into the details of the gain reduction meter and how it reflects the amount of compression being applied. From there, we move on to the Compressor-Gate version of C1, exploring its interface and revealing how it differs from the standard model. We then get stuck into the various EQ modes on offer, showing how the presets can be adapted to suit any particular purpose – specifically, the reduction of reverb tails in an audio track. DeEssing next, as we use C1’s display and sidechain to visually focus on sibilant areas and duck them out. And, finally, we go deeper into sidechaining and demonstrate reducing ‘muddiness’ from an audio recording with the C1 in EQ mode.
