Magneto is the perfect tool for Mastering “purists,” achieving analogue warmth without adding any unwanted noise or other artefacts. It is also the perfect creative tool for introducing “soft overdrive” on drums, guitars and many other instruments. The smooth compression resulting from hi-level recording on to tape machines is appreciated by a lot of producers. The developers from Spectral Design measured the behaviour of a Lyrec 24 track tape machine and put this data into the Magneto Plug In. Whenever you use Magneto it is as if you were recording on such a machine.

Mutator back in plug-in form with the same incredible sound quality as the original hardware plus all the benefits of a modern plug-in.  The Mutator contains two independent voltage-controlled filters (VCFs) similar to those found in analog synthesizers. It works great with any sound source that’s fed into the unit, including guitar, vocals, keyboard, and drums.
