See how to utilize many of Reason 11’s new features and functions to build a killer electronic track from scratch, including effect and mixing tips & tricks. Reason Project session included! These videos are designed for intermediate Reason 11 users who know their way around the program. To begin, Paul greets you and then goes over the concept of using Blocks and the PolyStep sequencer to create quick arrangements and re-usable song sections, as well as to input sequences that would otherwise be too fast to play in realtime. Next, you’ll see how to craft Baseline and Pad parts for the song, including cool sound design ideas, and how to use Reason 11’s Automation features creatively. Moving on, you’ll learn program the drum parts by using extracted drum hits from REX loops to build a killer kit in Kong, as well as use the Drum Sequencer device to sequence Trap style hats alongside conventional note clips. You’ll then see how to design a basic patch in the included West Coast Modular synth, Complex 1, plus how to organize your project, and then test out the arrangement using the powerful Blocks lane feature.

Ableton Live 10 Part 3 Editing & Producing

    iLFSN | 06.03.2018 | 1.88 GB

    3 Hours + Project Files

For years I’ve been teaching Ableton Live in the college classroom. As a University Professor, my classes are sought after, and, frankly, expensive. I believe Ableton Live can be learned by anyone, and cost shouldn’t be a barrier. This class uses the same outline and syllabus I’ve used in my college classes for years, at a fraction of the cost. This is Part 3: Editing & Producing: I will be making 6 (six!) complete classes in order to bring you the most comprehensive manual on Ableton Live production techniques ever created. Each class has Sets, sessions, and experiments for you to try on your own and follow along with. This is a really deep class – tons of content, tricks, and tips. I’m giving you a bunch of sessions to play around with. We are going to be covering how to produce using Ableton Live, starting from working with clips and going all the way up to some advanced production techniques.

Marcus begins by welcoming you and discusses the intent behind the series, and reveals the track that will be featured. You’ll then get workflow tips and suggestions that will help when dealing with notation based score in your productions. Next, Marcus shows how to get the MIDI data from your notation software into your DAW, as well as how to import a MusicXML file created by another notation program and tweak it further. Marcus then imports the audio mix into Notion to develop the score further, and adds 3rd party virtual instruments for further sonic choices.
