Vocotron is a VST instrument plug-in for Windows that combines the functions of a sampler and vocoder. Vocotron’s keyboard is divided into two key zones, like on the classic Mellotron and Chamberlin “samplers”. However, the zone’s functions are slightly different: the left side reproduces samples and is a modulator for the integrated vocoder, and the right side sets the tone, it is the carrier for the vocoder. To extract the sound from Vocotron, just pick a chord on the right side of the keyboard, and then start pressing keys in the sample zone. By changing the chords you can get the sound of your waves in different tonalities. For a modulator, you can use embedded samples (from three internal banks) and custom wave files. For those purposes Vocotron has a built-in sampler with such possibilities as: key mapping, wave looping and reversing, pitch tuning and pitch shifting.

Jellyfish is a 4 oscillator synth with multiple modulation methods between the oscillators and of their various parameters which guarantees plenty of movement in the sound. This is great for evolving pads, wobbly bass, vibrant leads or just plain strangeness. Using addition, subtraction, phase difference, ring modulation or phase distortion, the oscillators can modulate each other to get a wide variety of sounds. 2 tempo-sync LFOs and an ADSR envelope can all modulate this inter-osc modulation, as well as pitch, filter cut-off and each other. A pair of resonant filters and a tempo-sync delay complete the deal.

plastique is a 2 oscillator subtractive synth, using the 31 waveforms from the Casio HT-700 synth and some enhancements to the originals feature set. Scylla is a VST instrument that combines sample playback with subtractive synthesis to produce a wide variety of sonic possibilities. 3 samplers and 3 different types of oscillators allow many forms of sound design, including wavetable, granular, sample looping, phase distortion, morphing and spectral synthesis. More spice is added with granulizing, ring modulation and all the (un)usual envelopes, LFOs and filter options.
