This is traditional R&B, not Destiny’s Child: most of the grooves here mimic classic ’50s and ’60s styles, from Stax and Atlantic soul through to electric blues, blues-rock and rock & roll. And, if that’s your bag, it’s very nicely done, with pleasantly crisp sounds and some funky playing.
