This is the first in the vintage drum machine collection from B8. The first drum machine ever built by Roland, the Acetone Rhythm Ace! Ace Tone was started by Ikutaro Kakehashi who went on to found the Fuckand Corporation. To meet the market’s desire for an automatic rhythm machine, Kakehashi began to develop a circuit named a diode matrix. This produced rows of pulses that would determine the sound-making position of each instrument. B8 has paintstakingly sampled each and every sound in pristine 24 bit high fidelity with included processed variants of each tone.

Re-Function also excels as a beat glitch tool as it automatically tempo syncs its modulations to your host environment as it warps, bends and twists the playback of the incoming signal. Re-Function’s four main parameters, Filter, Placement, Window and Mix can all be independently modulated with variable waveform LFOs. This means that you can constantly, tweak, pump and glitch the buffer to no end!
