In addition, nearly 200 multi-format sampler instruments are included for EXS, Kontakt, Battery and Halion users.  Notable highlights include pre-mapped bass, synth, pad and atmospheres as well as the inclusion of 30 multi-kits, incorporating drums, FX, and synths into one multi-sample instrument.  These multi-kits allow users to open one instance of their preferred sampler and simply get to work, leaving only the limits of imagination to hold them back.

We sampled a little harmonium from the late XIX century. The harmonium, or pump organ, is a type of reed organ that generates sound with foot-pumped bellows. This particular organ only has one stop, we created a Facebook album to show you the actual instrument. It has 3 optional repetitions (round robin) and 1 velocity layer. The volume of the instrument depends on the amount of air that you put inside using your feet. If you go faster, you can hear the volume changes. That’s been modelled inside Kontakt and you can replicate that sound using the modwheel.  Attack, release volume, sample offset, EQ, flip stereo, spread (from stereo to mono) and octave voicing controllabe directly from the GUI.

GECKO Kasimir & Karoline KONTAKT

The Gecko Kasimir und Karoline was created to be the master tool for writing the score to a modern adaption of Ödön von Horváth’s famous play “Kasimir and Karoline” which was recently premiered in a big German theatre. In order to fulfil all the demands of the script and the director, we collected, recorded and produced tons of sounds, textures and noises, mixed them up and put them into the Gecko framework. The result is the most versatile and complex Gecko we´ve created so far. The Gecko Kasimir und Karoline provides a great range of sounds: Atmospherique stringpads, weird atmospheres such as found in Eerie Texture Gecko, bright and complex textures as well as special FX sounds such as “Kinderplatz”, “Oktoberfest” and “Lost Bells” and many more. This great mixture will fit perfectly into many styles of music, but will specially find its perfect purpose in individual and extraordinary scores.
