The Macbeth M5 is a mighty beast, in both size and sound. It’s a monophonic, three oscillator, two filter, semi-modular analogue synthesizer, crafted by master Scottish synth wizard, Ken Macbeth. These synths were made to order and are now discontinued, which makes them quite rare. Even if you have a spare $5000, finding one on the second hand market can be tricky. The M5’s sound is characterised by its full, rich bass, crystal high end and distinctly analog tone. Even the raw waveforms sound gorgeous with no filtering or modulation. Huge basses and leads, luscious pads, electric pianos, drums, one-shot effects, and crazy modular bleeps are all included in this pack. One of the pleasures of sampling such an instrument is being able to play it polyphonically, and believe us, it sounds amazing. The Mighty M5, sometimes raw, sometimes soft and beautiful, but always full of attitude.Audio Examples: The audio examples are made entirely with the Mighty M5 sample pack, even the drums. Some EQ was used on the song demos to help balance the various track elements, but otherwise no processing was used.

“Ancient Heavy Boxes” is a cinematic Percussion Library for Native Instruments Kontakt 5. What is so special about this library? Ten cardboard-boxes have been recorded in different positions and styles. We used sticks, brushes and hammers. We hit, scratched and smashed them. The 3 main patches consist of unique one shot recordings all of which vary in length and timbre. The DRONES PATCH contains grisly low end material, the WHINES PATCH contains higher pitched scream like material, and the HITS PATCH contains various metal fence poles and wire which we hit with the bow while recording. The HITS PATCH has 6 unique hits all with 4 x RR!  As a bonus, we processed the heck out of these recordings by mangling their speed, EQ, and timbre to create a series of 14 processed PAD patches which would accomodate making creepout / tension beds. These all loop with a low pass filter mapped directly to the mod wheel, the timbre of these can totally change at the flick of a finger. In addition to the processed PADlike material, we also included a series of 5 percussive / impact patches which are well suited for accent or trailer hits. The GUI is highly tweakable as you have direct access to the Lo, Mid, and Hi EQ, Pitch, Reverb (with 13 original IRs), and a GRIT knob for distortion

N.Peart Drums Vol. 1: The Kit features samples of the authentic Drum Workshop® Signature “Snakes and Arrows” kit of drum legend Neil Peart from the band Rush. This multitrack kit offers the ultimate high fidelity rock sound with incredible realism for keyboardists and e-Drummers. One of these drums is bigger—the 23” bass drum, which is another unique innovation of John Good’s. Back in the 70’s, when Rush were opening shows, I used to be able to go out front and listen to other drummers. I noticed then that 24” bass drums had a particular “kick” (for once the word is apt), but I preferred the playability and dynamics of a 22”. John suspected that the 23” would combine the best of both, and he was right. The “VLT” approach was also applied to the snare drum’s shell, and it was another revelation—the best I have ever played, for both response and sound. The toms are 8”, 10”, 12”, 13”, two 15”, 16”, AND 18”, with DW’s Coated Clear heads. Remo supplies some of the other heads, while the drumsticks are Pro-Mark signature models.
