12 African Instruments for Kontakt 4.2+. (RR = Round Robin, VL = Velocity Layers)
120+ patches for KONTAKT sampler created by award winning composer and sound designer Erik Ekholm. Featuring deep ambiances, textures, pads, special effects and much more, this collection of sounds are perfect for composers, sound designers and experimental musicians. You will need the full version of Kontakt 4.2.3 or above to use this product. Not the free Kontakt Player.
The Accordion is an unusual accordion library for Kontakt 5.1, sampled from a 1960’s Vardes accordion. The instrument is very noisy, with all sorts of buzzing, clicking, and creaking. Many of the keys make loud clicking noises when pressed. I tried to capture these imperfections in the recording. It is by no means a definitive accordion library, but is great for adding a unique sound to your music. The library features chord drones, staccatos, longs, scraping effects, percussion, and 12 custom designed ambiences created from the source samples. Over 500 samples totalling 180MB, in 20 Kontakt (5.1+) patches. NOTE: Tattered Sounds Accordion require the full version of Kontakt 5.1 (or higher) to run. It will not work in the free Kontakt Player. All sounds in the demo below are unaltered accordion patches. The only processing done is reverb and compression on the master output signal.

Computer Music Magazine “If a Vibraphones what you need, this one certainly does the business” 8/10 The PSI Vibraphone is a 1.9Gb 37 note virtual instrument using Native Instruments lossless .ncw compressed format samples. Each note of the 1960s 3 octave Premier 751 vibraphone has been meticulously sampled in our cinematic live room. Mark Cousins – senior writer Music Tech Magazine “Compared to the sterile sound of many sampled vibraphones, PSI’s Vibraphone really captures the character and charm of the real instrument. Given the use of ambient mics placement (in addition to the close mics), you can really feel the air around the instrument, and as a result, the vibraphone tends to sit in the mix in a more naturalistic way. The Vibraphone is a great choice for retro-style tracks, although it can also be a great addition to a virtual orchestra setup, or another productions requiring a more naturalistic vibraphone sound.”

The Struck Grand is an extraordinary instrument collection that delves deep into the fine art of piano abuse. This 9 GB collection explores all of the ways a 1926 Steinway Model L parlor grand piano can be “played” from the far side of the hammer. You’ll find well over 4000 samples of pick plucks, steel hammers, finger mutes, harmonics, slides, mallets, glisses, scrapes and otherworldly sustaining effects over the full note range. This collection shines as equal part stringed/tuned percussion and super-harp/mega-zither with a huge key range and rich, complex musical character.
The sound of the Elektron Analog Four has entered the world of Kosmology. Even though the instruments are more on the experimental side compared to the previous Kosmology Releases, the end result is a quite surprisingly mellow sample set, filled with lots of movement and discovery when sequencing. These Instruments were designed specifically for use with Kosmology to bring some of the warmth and characteristics from the excellent sounding Analog Synthesizer, which has it’s own very distinct character. All 200 instruments are multi-sampled, using 4 samples per instrument at 24-bit using pure synthesis with very few effects. Whilst many sounds are chromatically useful, there are also plenty of FX instruments throughout the collection to add some nice surprises and interests whilst Wave Sequencing. Although Kosmology is not really about presets considering how easy and fun it is to make your own, there are Fifty Presets included and of course presets from other Kosmology Releases can also be opened.
