A deep-sampled library dedicated to soundtrack piano and focused on capturing the warmth, the wideness, the deep resonance and softness of a world class grand. We’ve spent years searching for just the right one to capture. With ears pressed to wood and eyes hovering scant inches above strings, we tested literally hundreds of them before finding this one special piano. The sound of a piano is defined by a thousand things, from the lacquer on the wood to the hardness of the felt in the hammers. Our goal was purely sound: a soft, deeply resonant, rich, warm and soulful sound. We had no concern for brand, model, design or pedigree. We’re not even going to mention the model and brand of the piano we chose for this library.

Super Alpha Is not just about sampling a piece of hardware, it’s about sampling a piece of hardware at its very very best – putting that authentic 80s and 90s sound sound direct into your DAW or sampler of choice. No Dough have teamed the Alpha Juno with the best of modern sound design and chains of super high- quality outboard to create 163 hybrid sampler instruments (Kontakt, EXS24, Halion, Reason) which epitomize the 90s sound. Each patch has been hand-crafted by running it through a custom set of outboard gear to bring the classic sound of the Alpha right up to date for the demands of contemporary producers and sound systems. Each patch is multisampled from the original hardware, also sampling numerous velocity layers in most patches to give you the expressiveness and responsiveness of the real kit.  To top it off, everything has been recorded in 96000hz double rates to capture every last detail in the highest quality.

The Jew’s harp, jaw harp, mouth harp, or Ozark harp, trump and juice harp, is thought to be one of the oldest musical instruments in the world; a musician apparently playing it can be seen in a Chinese drawing from the 4th century BC. Despite its common English name, and the sometimes used Jew’s trump, it has no particular connection with the Jewish people or Judaism. This instrument is native to Asia and used in all tribes of Turkish people in Asia where it is variously referred to as a temir komuz, agiz komuzu or gubuz. The instrument is known in many different cultures by many different names. The common English name “Jew’s Harp” is controversial and is avoided by many speakers. Another name used to identify the instrument, especially in scholarly literature, is the older English trump, while guimbarde, derived from the French word for the instrument, can be found in unabridged dictionaries and is featured in recent revival efforts.

MicroHammer OverTone Flute KONTAKT

The Bamboo Overtone flute is like a little sibling to the Eastern European, Fujara. However the flute is distinctively different and almost human like in the sense it only has two holes. The flute is played by muting the bottom of the flute with your palm and bending the note. The overtones are generated by playing softer or harder in the flute and actually allows it to spand over four octaves. The sound is best described as ethnic/ethereal, but with that very distinct overtone charm to it. We sampled the hell out of it by multi-sampling the overtones in sustains and staccato and by doing over +350 BPM (80-140) based phrases on top of this and with additional FX sections.
