    Celtic Nylon Harp KONTAKT

    The Celtic Nylon Harp is a small-sized harp with a height of nearly 39 inch (98 cm) and is usually designed for traditional music. The wooden instrument ranges in three octaves between C2 and C5 and has got 22 strings which are made of nylon and are plucked with the fingers. The harp has a lever close to the top of each string; when it is engaged, it shortens the string so its pitch is raised a semitone (sharped note if the string was a natural). The warm sound of the nylon strings is inspiring and adorable.

Unlike the classic mellotron, this crackpot contraption used a cassette mechanism, a single key and whatever cassette tapes we had lying around.”

    A COLLECTION OF 2 FIVE OCTAVE TOY PIANO INSTRUMENTS, 2 CONCERT CELESTES, 2 NORMAL TOY PIANOS, A SET OF SUSPENDED TINES AND A SIMPLE PREPARED PIANO! Toy pianos are usually limited to being a great little additional tinkly instrument, but with usually only a few keys, a simple additional colour at best! We were not going to be put off by the annoyingly small key range of normal toy pianos! We loved the sound and wanted to expand the tiny key-range of this childish characterful sound into, well, a huge key-range of childish characterful sound. So We Did… Two massive 5 octave toy pianos constructed from genuine toy piano recordings, loose tines, prepared piano recordings, celeste recordings, multiple mic positions, convolution based body resonance and lots of tweaking.
