Experience the percussive power of a washer, dryer, and other odds and ends that were laying around the area when I recorded them. There are big changes in v1.5 of Epic Laundry. One might even say a whole laundry-list of them. If one were using bad puns. Entirely remastered sound and new recordings! I was unhappy with some aspects of the original release, and so I remastered everything that was there to begin with, re-recorded parts, and added a lot of entirely new content. Halion compaitbility! Thanks to Bo Clausen, who has provided Halion users with a near-full set of patches to use in their sampler. Some instruments remain Kontakt exclusive due to the nature of their construction, but there is plenty for Halion users to enjoy.

A deep sampled Tibetan bowl for Kontakt 5, featuring two articulations: hits and sustains. The instrument was sampled with a multitude of dynamic layers and round robins, and packaged in an easy-to-use Kontakt instrument. This library features a deeply sampled Tibetan Singing Bowl, recorded in close stereo, and mapped across a playable range of four octaves. Two articulations were captured – sustains (created by moving the wooden mallet in a circular motion around the rim of the bowl) and hits. Both these articulations were recorded with a multitude of dynamic layers, which allows for very delicate and realistic playing. The instrument was programmed with ease of use in mind. Simply move the mod wheel while playing sustains to smoothly morph between different dynamic levels. When performing a real singing bowl, changes in dynamics are often very slow, since the bowl takes time to vibrate and resonate. Setting the ‘speed’ control to a low value will simulate this, by gradually fading between the dynamic layers.

The Minipoly contains amazing raw analogue and tape oscillator samples, great filters, a chord system and six effects. The TAPE SAW OSC are long sawtooth waves recorded for each key on tape of a Roland RE-301 Chorus Echo. You can hear wow and flutter and even tape dropouts – quite similar to a Mellotron. The SAW OSC, Square OSC and White Noise waves are directly recorded minimoog samples – and sound much crisper than the ‘taped’ waves. All oscillators are mono waves, but when DUAL MODE is activated (switchable LED for each OSC) a second sample is added to each note and both waves are panned hard to L-R. This will produces a strong stereo image. Mix mono and dual oscillators to control/adjust the stereo width of the sound.
