    Modular Series: Oboes KONTAKT

    AMPLiFYiSO | 04.22.2008 | 2.20 GB

This library for Kontakt features 24 bit samples recorded by Grammy award-winning engineer Tim Kimsey. On the DVD you will find a comprehensive set of patches for Solo Oboe, Solo English Horn and Oboe Section. The most important feature of this library is the Legato playing style. These patches contain not only expressive long notes, but also true legato interval samples that were recorded as the musicians played every note up and down from 1 half-step all the way up to a full octave. You don’t have to load any special tools to control them because the Legato effect is powered by Gigastudio’s iMIDI rules and Kontakt’s scripting engine. You can also vary the Attack Strength of each note, control the use of Release Samples, and play Same-Note Legato Repetitions in any rhythm or tempo.

    VI-elements Core Kit KONTAKT

    SYNTHiC4TE | 25 December 2016 | 10.3 GB

Vi-elements is dedicated to crafting boutique quality Virtual instruments. Our goal is to create the most musical and natural sounding sample libraries in the world. From complete virtual emulations like the Core Kit, to imaginative renderings of wickedly treated instruments like the Tortured Piano, Vi-elements provides the missing element in the world of Virtual Instruments. Magic! Performance The Core Kit sounds incredible, but it can cripple even the fastest computers when too many instruments are packed into one instance of Kontakt. Although it takes up more tracks, splitting up your instruments like we describe below works well for a number of reasons.

    Lap Harp KONTAKT

    P2P | 01.07.2019 | 110 MB

The Lap Harp is a music instrument from eastern Europe also known as ‘Perepyolochka’ in Cyrillic, which literally translates to „Little Quail“. Due to its easy playability its popular with musical beginners. In nature it has 15 diatonically tuned strings, which are often in the key of G major. In the Kontakt patch you can play it chromatic and well tempered. The Engine: We recorded the Lap Harp with 3 Articulations, 4 Round Robins and 2 Velocitys at a quiet low volume. For the articulations we chose a plectrum, the fleshy side of a thumb and a piano hammer. As a microphone we chose a Schoeps condencer and positioned it pretty close to the strings in order to get a direct and detailed sound. As an additional gimmick we implanted a Glissando and a Tremolo function via the script, which affects the midi behavior and enables you to get a step closer to the natural playability of the real instrument. Furthermore we added several effects such as the control of reverb, delay, lo-& hi-cut, chorus, octave and rotary, which expands the entire sound of the Lap Harp and gives you some further options to kick-start your creative process.

    Austrian Harpsichord MULTiFORMAT

    P2P | 29.06.2019 | 1.11 GB

    EXS24 / HAlion / KONTAKT

The Austrian Harpsichord library features an instrument built by Johann Anton Miklis in 1671 in Prague (which belonged to Austria back then). Offering three sounds – 8′, 4′ register and the combination of both – it show the rich and slinky texture of Austrian-built instruments which Mozart would have known. Austrian Harpsichord Edition Beurmann MULTiFORMAT screenshotThe harpsichord still remains in well-playable condition despite its age. It is now available for your sampler, presented in its original Valotti-tuning at 392 Hz, capturing all three register variations – 8′, 4′ and both registers together. Presets at 440 Hz are also available. In its bass octave, the harpsichord does not feature a c-sharp note, as part of its design. We added “optimized” presets so it can be played regularly in the bass as well. Like all harpsichords, the instrument is not touch-sensitive in the sense of a piano. However, not any given note will sound exactly the same twice due to different resonances of body and strings. Up to now, many keyboards and samplers represented harpsichords by repeating the exact same digital sample. In order to avoid the problem, we captured the sampled registers with 8 variations (4′: 4 variations) of each note. The key release sounds are also of major importance: We recorded 4 release samples per note.
