The Seven Seas Grand, 7CG, was recorded at OAL studios in Stockholm Sweden using a Yamaha C7 Grand Piano. We used a matched pair of Neumann U89 for picking up the sound of this great instrument.

The TBO, was recorded at OAL studios in Stockholm Sweden using a Yamaha C7 Grand Piano. We used a matched pair of Neumann SM2 for picking up the sound of this great instrument. The MkII Since the samplers has been become more advanced and the TBO still are one of our most popular pianos, we decided to bring it up to date and add some functions in the line of the original ideas. We also added hammerback and pedalnoise samples. Then we added our True Resonance feature and used Kontakts scripting facilities to make Real Time/True Pedaling, Sympathetic Resonance and some other nifty features, and, Voila: The TBO MkII

Hohner Clavinet D6, has for years been putting the onk in funk, but with it’s distinct timbre, unique design and great respons, it’s been a tonal tool for musicians in many genres. I guess that one can’t talk about the Clav without mention Stevie Wonder who’s classic riffing on ”Superstition” really put the Hohner Clav on the map. But musicians like John Paul Jones gave many Zep songs a special character using the clav, and so did Rolling Stones, Billy Preston, Steely Dan, Utopia, Fleetwood Mac, Rainbow, Utopia and many, many others. So, the Clavinet has not only been used in funky 70’s disco anthems, heavy rockers, prog bands and musicians from all camps has used this instrument. It is really a staple instrument for the keyboard player Being a string instrument that uses single coil pickups, this instrument was built to be played through an amp. So, naturally, we recorded it that way. Using a Fender Twin tube amp makes this instrument sound the way it was intended.

When making the White Grand the production goal was to make a sampled Grand Piano that would work great in a mix but also deliver the dynamic response of a real piano. Using SLH, a developed software made it possible for us to record different velocities very precisely and from that build an instrument that delivered the same dynamic as the real thing. When we finished the White Grand, we had a sampled piano that didn’t just work in a mix, but worked on simply anything! VenKatt, a 20 x 4 Layers Ambient Machine for ambient/electronic productions and film scores Venkatt offers 4 sound layers with unique features: The Attack layer includes only Transient sounds. The Sustain Layer includes only sounds without attack. When you combine this two, you are actually combining two different instruments characters and creating a brand new instrument. Imagine a sound with the attack of a zither and the body of a voice. Couple this with 20 reverse sounds and 20 sequenced sounds from the Reverse and Rhythmic layers and you have rich, evolving, unique patches at your disposal. The Attack layer includes only transient sounds. The Sustain layer includes only sustaining sounds without transients. When combining two different instruments’ characters, brand new instruments can be created, like a sound with the attack of a dulcimer and the body of a voice.
