    The Noah Bells tuned percussion library is a deeply sampled collection of 21 authentic Indian Khadki bells in a wide ascending range of sizes and pitches, from massively resonant deep notes to small, brittle high notes. These hand-crafted, hammered metal bells are smelted from simple iron and copper mixtures, producing a golden or bronze hue. They range in size from over two feet to less than an inch in diameter, with carved wooden clappers. They have a dark, raspy and heavy tone with lots of mid-range body, a rather variable sustain and strong, complex overtones and undertones.

    Bronze Bin is a unique tuned and untuned metallic percussion instrument library, created using a common found object with a rather special tonal character. Bronze is the most popular metal used to create top-quality musical bells and cymbals. So, when we came across this little refuse receptacle of pure brazen bronze, we thought ‘What a waste!’ Not in the waste-basket sense of the word, but a waste of musical potential. Every edge, curve, face and angle of this bronze beauty creates amazingly complex and unique sounds, full of harmonics, overtones and even undertones. In much the same way art and practicality intersect in the conventional use of this bin, so do percussion and melody intersect creating an enormous palette from a single source. Producing soft bell-like tones to a raspy wash of colliding frequencies the Soundiron Bronze Bin is a truly unique tuned percussion instrument.

    Flutter Dust Module is a new Kontakt sample instrument that uses long and complex multisampled acoustic ‘wavetables’ that scan in real time to create beautiful organic, evolving and un-expected new sounds. Like the Mellotron, Flutter Dust Module is based on recordings of acoustic instruments– but the extra functionality of the Kontakt engine takes the Flutter Dust Module to places of which the tape-based Mellotron could only ever dream. Creating woozy, ghostly versions of real world timbres, users can just move the playhead position or loop points to construct new sounds – punch-drunk orchestral pads, delicate flute-otrons, majestic organ-celeste, complex poly rhythmic Phillip Glass scapes…and more, all at the click of a button (well, a few buttons).
