Xun. One of the earliest instruments in China. Archeological excavation discovered Xun from sites more than 7,000 years ago. It is very similar to orcarina, but without a fipple. Xun is considered as a ritual instrument in Chinese history. Mostly used for court music after the Han dynasty till modern days. This is Kontakt 5.3 instrument. It will not work with any earlier versions of Kontakt. If you have wondered what Colossus brings, this is actually it. These are the most interesting and best instruments from EWQL Colossus in their custom library. I have, of course, disregarded the instruments that belong to Ra, Voices of The Apocalypse and Symphonic Orchestra, for everyone should have these libraries individually. Colossus, on the other hand, is not all that brilliant: there are many instruments that should have been given much more space and therefore I would look for them in other libraries.

Guzheng, as one of the most representative Chinese instruments, first appeared around the Warring States period (475 – 221 BC), then became extremely popular during the Tang Dynasty (618 – 907 AD) and spread to all neighboring areas ever since (e.g., Guzheng is the forefather of Japanese Koto).
