Regal Rhythm is a very simple drum box with a typical vintage analogue sound. The six on-board preset rhythms cover the kind of staples you’d expect from more of a home-orientated (rather than studio grade) piece of kit, and there’s a slightly fuzzy, soft-edged tone to the whole thing that can work very nicely for chillout, downtempo tracks. It also comes in a neat royal red colour scheme that should cheer up anyone’s morning – and check out that real wood veneer ???? The sounds are limited but solid: kick drum, plus two flavours of snare, as well as the combinable presets (which of course tempo-sync to your host DAW). Saturation, compression and bit-crusher controls let you have a bit of extra fun with the tone.

Using Superball friction mallets, we sampled a variety of Orchestral Bass Drums, Timpani, Taiko, Thunder Sheet and Gongs to create a library of evolving sonic textures.. Superball is a rare type of mallet with a rubber ball end, which is used by percussionists to create a unique waling drone-like sound. It is performed by dragging the rubber head of the mallet along a surface, creating friction, which produces a wave of unusual and unique sonic textures that vary depending on the size of the Superball, type of percussion and technique. Superball is a non-transient sound that open-endedly shapes and transforms as the motion, pressure and intensity of dragging of the mallet continues.

With the signature FX unit and brand new ‘IRON FACTOR’ dial to blend in a truly industrial and metallic punch to the STICKS kit. Equipt with 2 LFOs and a lowpass filter, moulding and modulating your drum sound feels very intuitive. All 3 kits include a series of 12 variating cymbal scrapes, for stinger like effects. Designed with both E-Drum kits and Keyboard drummers in mind, with standard drum mapping for E-Kits, coupled with duplicate triggering to allow for keyboard players to easily play complex rhythms on any single drum with two hands.
