De-Esser can work in a full wide spectrum mode (Wide) of operation on narrow bands of the detector and divided into four narrow bands in the mode (Split) only for the selected frequency. In limiter mode, this module works like a classic L2a. Three-band equalizer has fixed frequency settings. Low and high frequencies are switched from “bell” to “shelf” Display of low and high frequency cutoff filter controls are switched by a toggle switch (Filter-EQ).

While often unavoidable, this method is very time-consuming and diverts attention from what really matters. splitS is here to give you your time back! splitS is not a de-esser, but rather a straightforward mixer that allows you to balance sibilances, and separate a vocal track between sibilance and non-sibilance in a split of a second. The signal is left absolutely intact if no volume change is applied, as the cut between sibilance and non-sibilance is made on the full range signal. No compression, no EQ, no crossover. Since v1.1, the S-Range feature can detect the peak level of each S event, letting you set a maximum volume — or exclude soft events from the S channel.
