As the name suggests, DRUMASONIC represents a high-end approach: In sampling one of the best, modern and universal sounding drum kits along with some of the finest snare drums, hihat, ride, crash, china and splash cymbals, no sound-altering devices have been employed. All the signals have been converted with high-end equipment directly after the preamps at 96 kHz, 24 bit. The goal was to provide the discerning musician, sound technician or producer – in the sense of authentic drum miking – a variety of phase-compatible, freely combinable and distributable signals out of two distinct recording rooms. Instead of delivering pre-defined sounds or tons of patches, DRUMASONIC addresses its focus on tonal authenticity, signal purity and mixing flexibility.

The Roland TB-303 Bassline is a classic synth, much revered and highly desirable. This ReFill contains samples from a real TB303 as well as samples from some of the best emulations available. There are 922 single note WAV files, which have been turned into 25 Combinator Instrument Patches and 23 NN-XT Patches. There are also 25 Combinator REX Patches. These patches contain a DR REX device which is loaded with one of the included 25 REX2 Loops* and a Matrix device for pattern playback. These patches have the original BPM included in their name, but will sync to your current project tempo (the BPM is included just for reference). You can tweak these patches in real-time, and, in some cases, change the Matrix pattern to hear variations of the original loop.
