Stradivari is a name synonymous with quality. The Stradivari Violin is regarded by experts as the best violin ever made and a genuine Stravidivai violin is worth millions. An instrument of this distinction required a unique way to faithfully capture and recreate its sound quality and playability. -Sonic Morphing- technologies provided the answer. Morphing describes what can be seen in motion pictures where there is gradual transformation from one image into another. This basic concept has been applied to sound samples allowing sound samples to morph into each other seamlessly. With the Stradivari Solo Violin, using exclusive “harmonic alignment” technology, you can seamlessly morph between different dynamics and hear authentic timbre changes as notes become louder or softer. Sophisticated modal resonance technology allows you to control the onset, intensity and rate of vibrato, impart portamento and much more. In addition, a powerful AI midi processor allows you to change or create articulations in real time, change the type of attack or bow direction, impart legato, play trills & tremolo and have an infinite variety of playing possibilities at your fingertips. All this in real time!.
What’s EVE? EVE stands for Electronic Vintage Ensemble, which suggests the design philosophy behind the instrument. EVE was made to recreate in the virtual world of softsynths the exciting and immediate experience of the early age of electronics in pop, rock and jazz music from the 1960’s and 1970’s. During this creative period in music history, many musicians started to employ the innovative sounds of the ‘electric keyboards’ which were newly available for use on stage and in the studio: Rhodes electric pianos, Hammond and Vox organs, Hohner clavinets, strings machines such as the Arp Solina string ensemble, Moog synthesizers, and all those that are now considered ‘classics’. It was not only keyboards that were a part of this revolution in popular music: the use of effects and recording techniques for layering, blending and manipulating sounds transformed the way music was produced and conceptualized. Tape based delay lines, rotating speaker cabinets, guitar distortion pedals, wah wah, phasing, flanging and other effects became an integral part of the process of sound design.
This Mixman Soundisc contains samples designed to carry the party mood all night. Influences from Chicago’s deep gospel house sound and Detroit’s moody techno rhythm are evident in this collection of housey doings. Classic drum sounds from TB808s and TR909s will keep the purist in the mix while a good selection of bass patterns and synthesizer melodies will hook the hip-shakers.
