I believe Ableton Live can be learned by anyone, and cost shouldn’t be a barrier. This class uses the same outline and syllabus I’ve used in my college classes for years, at a fraction of the cost. This is Part 1: The Interface. I will be making 6 (six!) complete classes in order to bring you the most comprehensive manual on Ableton Live production techniques ever created. Wavetable is the newest synth in the Ableton Live 10 instrument collection. Watch this course, by Ableton Certified Trainer Noah Pred to learn how this complex synth works! Wavetable synthesis was first experimented with in the 1970s with the hardware instruments designed by PPG. Then came Waldorf, followed by several others including the array of wavetable software synths of to today. Ableton’s new Wavetable synth is created in this great tradition bringing the power of wavetable synthesis to Ableton Live 10. In this 20-tutorial course by Ableton Certified Trainer Noah Pred, you learn all about Wavetable, wavetable synthesis and how Ableton’s reimagined version of this genre of synthesis works in Live. You get tutorials about the dual oscillators, their myriad wavetables and how to expertly shape their tone. Then you learn how to morph through the different wave shapes using the modulators in the Modulation Matrix. ‘Analogue Sequences: Ableton Live’ is a collection of loops and instruments for Ableton Live designed and created by the experienced, award-winning sound designers and production tutors at School of Synthesis. This Live pack utilises sequences created from some of School of Synthesis’ vast collection of classic vintage and modern analogue synthesisers. This collection includes sequences expertly programmed for the Korg MS20, ARP 2600, Roland Jupiter 6, DSI/Sequential Prophet 6, Roland SH2, Moog Sub37 and Sid Station. All synths have been processed through Bettermaker EQ and Manley NuMu and recorded through Burl Mothership. However, the original sound sources are only the foundation of what this Live pack is about. The sequences have been expertly re-imagined as performable Ableton Live instrument racks through cleverly utilising the new Simpler Instrument’s modes recently introduced. All instrument racks are compatible with Live 9.7 (and above) Standard and Suite editions, and have been optimised for use with Ableton’s Push controller.
