Dirty Works is packed with unconventional loops because we like innovate, not imitate what already have been made! In this “dirty” collection we have captured sounds overall from some of our real hardware sources and toys like DS Mopho SE,Roland TB3, Novation Mininova, Roland JP08,Teenage PO 12, Korg Kaosspad (as modulation source) and some cool drum loop and bass loop generated by the meeting of a Roland TR8 output with the Arturia Minibrute Audio Input, processing the signal through his Steiner-Parker filter and “Brute Factor” (distortion) and after sampled, we gave a further process shuttering, blending, stretching, reworking, repitching and polishing some samples from unwanted frequencies and leaving intentionally some other as they are, to offer you a real analog spice!

Following our successful Romanian Techno pack we are slowing things down and concatrating on the housy side of the scene. Over the last several years the Romanian scene emerged as sophisticated both in reception and production. The likes of Rhadoo, Raresh and Petre Inspirescu have become international household names while labels such as Perlon, Pressure Trax, Gilesku and [a:rpia:r] are setting grounds for techno’s future incarnations. Inspiration has been drawn from artists such as Barac, Sit, Dan Andrei and Rhadoo to name a few. Expect to hear Deep subtle baselines, complex and organic drums, melancholy, modular music loops, dubby percussions and field sound recordings & texture sounds. The production of the pack used analog, modular and modern digital synths and cutting edge production techniques.

In the early 1990s, producers Moritz Von Oswald and Mark Ernestus formed Basic Channel, a duo credited for defining dub techno. Another label, Rhythm & Sound, was started by Oswald and Ernestus and focused strictly on dub techno, unlike Chain Reaction. This is just a small hint of the prestige of this musical genre. In addition to making the presence of minimalism commonplace in the techno scene, they also incorporated delay effects that were recurrent in dub music. This characteristic sound of the Berlin underground movement became a reference icon of the vanguard sound for clubs. The best tracks in the dub techno style do what little it does amazingly, in that “every element in the mix is given breathing space and, accordingly, takes on a sense of the organic.
Beaten, but still an important fact: Detroit played a huge role in the development of electronic music. The town, once a former industrial capital, will always be associated with Juan Atkins, Derrick May, and Kevin Saunderson – a trio of producers, which is deservedly called the godfathers of techno. They have become part of modern mythology, a kind of idealized images, inherited the urban pantheon. We remember the day when people first called music this loud word TECHNO. And we dedicate this collection is legendary Techno Stars, like Octave One, Juan Atkins, Blake Baxter, Mike “Mad” Banks, Gerald Donald, Carl Craig, Kenny Larkin and more of legendary Techno godfathers.
