The complete guide to making music with a computer
Computer Music’s goal is to help its readers create great music with a PC or Mac. Each month find easy-to-follow tutorials for all sorts of music software, unbiased reviews of the latest products and answers to technical questions.
After a very positive feedback that we received for the Purple Stories project, we decided to continue work with other partners too. This time we want to propose you a new project from an upcoming talent, Ciro Visone, from Italy. Being a trance, progressive and house producer for many years, he produces soundtracks, jingles, lounge, trance, house, and new-classic music. His tracks are played all around the world, with full support from all the big dj’s of the trance scene, including Armin van Buuren, Aly & Fila, etc.
SPAN Plus is a real-time “fast Fourier transform” audio spectrum analyzer plug-in for professional music and audio production applications. For the most part it was derived from Voxengo GlissEQ dynamic parametric equalizer and reproduces its spectrum analysis functionality. SPAN Plus is an extended version of the freeware SPAN plug-in: SPAN Plus provides several additional features such as PNG file export, real-time spectrum import/export and static spectrums display.
BowEcho is a modular sound mangler based on 4 delay lines. It offers a large palette of sound design options thanks to 4 LFOs that can run at control or audio rate, 4 Mixers that can also act as gainers, basic filters, ringmodulators or stereo splitters, and the ability to route the output of each module the way you want. For example the LFOs can act as raw oscillators that can be used to ringmodulate the feedback path of a delay line.
Solid Drums Volume 2 offers 500 professional quality kick-free drum loops and kick drums made specifically for trance music production. Just like its predecessor. The 300 drum loops and 100 FX loops range from high energy rythms for banging club tracks to more subtle loops for adding that extra touch of groove and crispiness to your trance drum lines. For the kicks, main focus was to provide a complete set of 100 clean and powerful bass drums focusing on the uplifting trance genre, and no “filler” kicks that cannot be used in trance. Once you get your hands on this set you will not need to look elsewhere for more trance kicks !
