Her most notable work as a singer includes a featuring on Dubba Jonny’s EP and an appearance on the album of the legendary Cypress Hill-producer DJ Muggs.
RomyHarmony, born in Finland -83, has always been keen on music, writing and performing. She was singing for a while in a choir already at the age of eight and wrote her first song at the age of ten. Singing then became an active hobby in 1997, at the age of 14, when she rejoined the choir, singing soprano and later alto. In 2000 she joined a local electro-industrial band, in which she sang lead- and backing vocals for five years, followed by singing cover songs with a rock band for the next couple of years, and polishing the vocal technique with a private tutor for a stronger performance.

Bass City is a free collection of synthesized bass samples created by Chad Beckwith from PatchArena and Tomislav Zlatic from 99Sounds. The library features a set of 26 classic analog and FM bass patches which have been multi-sampled from three different hardware synthesizers. You’ll notice that this sample library is quite different from the previous 99Sounds releases. Sampling hardware synthesizers is something that I enjoy doing in my free time, so I’ve been planning to publish a synthesizer sample library such as this one on 99Sounds for quite a while. Recently I got in touch with Chad from PatchArena and we both agreed that we should join forces in order to create an elaborate electronic bass sample library by sampling some of our favorite hardware synthesizers.

The Accordion is an unusual accordion library for Kontakt 5.1, sampled from a 1960’s Vardes accordion. The instrument is very noisy, with all sorts of buzzing, clicking, and creaking. Many of the keys make loud clicking noises when pressed. I tried to capture these imperfections in the recording. It is by no means a definitive accordion library, but is great for adding a unique sound to your music. The library features chord drones, staccatos, longs, scraping effects, percussion, and 12 custom designed ambiences created from the source samples. Over 500 samples totalling 180MB, in 20 Kontakt (5.1+) patches. NOTE: Tattered Sounds Accordion require the full version of Kontakt 5.1 (or higher) to run. It will not work in the free Kontakt Player. All sounds in the demo below are unaltered accordion patches. The only processing done is reverb and compression on the master output signal.
