    Biosynth For KONTAKT

    DiSCOVER | December/01Th/2018 | 455 MB

Biosynth is a deep-sample based virtual synth for Kontakt. Biosynth comes with three Bio-Oscillators, each one with six atypical wave forms (not the common Triangle, Saw-tooth etc). Though configured as a typical analog synth, Biosynth builds the sounds mixing three of the six drone/ambient looped wave samples and then they are filtered through a Phaser fx controlled by a multi-wave LFO. Beside the Envelope you can find a Delay, a Flanger and a Reverb, all controlled by the knobs for each parameters as you wish.

    Elektra For KONTAKT

    DiSCOVER | December/01Th/2018 | 345 MB

Elektra is an imaginary/designed electric piano from the fifties. Quite far from Rhodes and Wurlitzer sound, it comes with a smokey and dreamy sound all over its 88 keys. Its engine is based on a FM piano made by me with Reaktor 5 some years ago. Every note is sampled using three instances of my Reaktor ELECTROPIANO, set different from each other. The central instance is the body, the left one is cutted on the high frequencies and em-phatized basses dispite the right one with low frequencies cutted and emphatized high ones. The Tremolo is lead by an LFO sine wave that controls the pan of the sound. It can be activated by the relative button on the right side and its speed controlled by the relative knob on the left side. The Felt button smoothes the sound and the Convolution Reverb is activated by the button while the size of the reverb is handled by the knob. The samples are divided by soft and hard for a more realistic touch on the keyboard.

    Moon For KONTAKT

    DiSCOVER | December/01Th/2018 | 911 MB

MOON is an instrument to create evolving ethereal textures. Not typical pads but something between fx and pads. The natural mood is quite dark and gloomy, perfect for sci-fi and thrilling scenes as well as for Ambient, Dark Ambient and other musical genres. It is featured with a two sections GUI. The Main section where the user can choose the textures for the two layers and a low control system, just only a sine LFO and all the typical volume/pan/envelope encoders. The Lab section comes with a convolution reverb and a rotator, this last one could influence a bit the low frequencies with a kind of cut. The deep controller sets are the Formant section and the Ladder filter that could transform in heavy manner the textures sound. There’s always a central small display that shows the values so that the user can control his/her manouvres. When the user finds an interesting sound, he can save the whole instrument in the User folder, obviously starting from the INIT starting instrument.

    Soave Sordino Strings KONTAKT

    DiSCOVER | December/01Th/2018 | 195 MB

Soave Sordino Strings is the result of mixed sampling from sample based digital strings machines treated with equalizers, image expanders and various effect. The strings sections is the typical orchestral configuration. The first violins on the left and so the sound of them is on the left in the stereo image and so on, with the double basses on the extreme right. There are five sections (1st Violins, 2nd Violins, Violas, Cellos, Double Basses) and each have their own volume knobs. As you can see the Soave’s GUI is really simple, just a Main Volume (Gain) on the left, an Attack knob on the right and a Transient button below the Violas section to bypass the slow attack and gives a fake legato when play a melody. Obviously, Soave comes with only one articulation known as “Con Sordino”, so it’s useful for very slow tempo beats, from Largo to Adagio. The other control named “Altered” implements a randomized pitch to the notes played in a kind of slow “chaotic” way. That’s quite useful for stochastic composition styles.

    Profundo For KONTAKT

    DiSCOVER | December/01Th/2018 | 879 MB

    Version: Kontakt 5.8.1 / NCW / 0.9 GB / V1

Here the third and last Ambient texturizing library, PROFUNDO. The trilogy started with MOON and was followed by NEBULAE. PROFUNDO is an A.T.S. (Aleatory Texturizing Synthesizer) for Kontakt by Native Instruments. It contains six layers, each one with four different samples to create a texturized sound controlled by a random pitch engine, generating aleatory harmonies in a costant evolving fashion. The moods are quite gloomy and dark, so perfect for Cinematic, Dark Ambient, Industrial and other musical genres related. The Aleatory principle in music started in the beginning of 1950 at the Darmstadt International Summer Courses for New Music, though examples could be found earlier in the late 15th century and first decade of 1900. From 1957 composers as Pierre Boulez and Stockhausen used that principle in some works. We could say that John Cage used a kind of aleatory principle that must be called better indeterminate music.
