This is the Nave Q Studio Drum Kit, a Galvanised Steel Drum Kit made by Q Drum Co. Recorded at The Nave Studios in Leeds, North Yorkshire. This is huge natural sounding drum kit, with an even bigger sounding room. Great for big rock productions as well as those looking to add size and depth to more metal style drums.
The Minipoly contains amazing raw analogue and tape oscillator samples, great filters, a chord system and six effects. The TAPE SAW OSC are long sawtooth waves recorded for each key on tape of a Roland RE-301 Chorus Echo. You can hear wow and flutter and even tape dropouts – quite similar to a Mellotron. The SAW OSC, Square OSC and White Noise waves are directly recorded minimoog samples – and sound much crisper than the ‘taped’ waves. All oscillators are mono waves, but when DUAL MODE is activated (switchable LED for each OSC) a second sample is added to each note and both waves are panned hard to L-R. This will produces a strong stereo image. Mix mono and dual oscillators to control/adjust the stereo width of the sound.

Together with both fully acoustic and fully synthetic elements, this kit builder creates truly hybrid drums with a unique, fresh new sound. Model each kit component with its own convolution plugin: almost 400 custom impulses that color, shape, distort, and augment the drum samples. Building on the strengths of Konstruktor, and keeping with the ethos of raw, unpolished percussive sound, Fabrikator explores the texture and motion of acoustic-synthetic sounds colored with convolution. The task was to design distinctive synthesized percussion that would complement the new acoustic palette while offering fresh material for the convolution engine: sounds and textures that would react in new and unexpected ways. Different design and mixing methods were applied to produce nine categories of synthetic percussion: over 200 multi-articulation sample instruments in total. Sound treatments include valve and fuzz-wah filters, frequency disintegration and granulation, harmonic and digital distortion, and pitch/time and modulation effects.

SUPINE delivers truly unique and inspiring sounds right out of the box. It is a state-of-the-art ambient loop and multisample instrument module for KONTAKT containing 350 different kits that can be played in tandem across four categories (Pad, Synth 1 & 2 and FX). These kits are built using the included 975 (unencrypted) 24-bit WAV files. All loops can be played polyphonically timestretched within a range of two octaves (24 semitones). SUPINE delivers 50 beautiful-sounding synthesizer arpeggios (with minor/major velocity key-switching), 50 smooth and silk pad sounds as well as over 100 chords (minor/major switching), drones and textures. Besides the polyphonic timestretchable loops, SUPINE also offers a wealth of multisampled ambient and acoustic instruments like brasses, wind sounds, plucks, pianos, keys and synthesizers.
