The sample pack contains 15 sub folders and over 200 shaker percussion loops and samples in total, all locked at 120Bpm and available to download in Apple Loops, Rex2 and 24 Bit Wav for ultimate flexibility. All the loops and samples are presented in their raw recorded form, with multiple mic positions and layered loops for different spatial effects, as well as in their manipulated form. Exploring the classical and folk sounds of Northern India, ‘North Indian Folk’ is full of traditional instruments such as woodwind in the form of a haunting Bansuri, or bamboo flute; drums such as the Dholki, Dholak, Tabla and Kanjira; strings from a beautiful sitar and elegant tanpura; organ sounds from the vaja, a type of harmonium; finally traditional Indian male and female vocals to top it all off! The sounds in this pack are largely based on raga and have then been improvised live, giving an authentic edge to each sound.
