StompFilter is a creative tool designed to provide an exceptionally wide range of modulated filter and gain sounds (VST, AAX and RTAS for Windows; AudioUnit, VST, AAX and RTAS for Mac OSX). Its effects include a simple LFO-modulated low pass filter; auto-wah; low-, band-, or high-pass filter; and compressor. Thanks to the smoothly adjustable filter type and flexible cross-modulations of the LFO by the envelope of the signal, StompFilter is able to provide vivid, expressive filtering. Just a pinch of adjustable LFO randomization will provide analog-like “imperfections,” ensuring that you will never get bored of it.

Polaris is an echo/reverb plugin inspired by early hardware digital reverbs of the late 1970s and able to provide echo, ambience and reverb out of a single multitap delay line. When hardware digital reverbs came out to the market they were really expensive. Most manufacturers were already exploiting chains of comb and allpass filters (smoother reverbs, but expensive in both resources and chips), there were other techniques involving the use of a single multitap delay line to create a reasonable reverb while keeping the cost affordable. That idea is so simple yet powerful: you mix a bunch of unmodulated taps (Early Reflections) with the remaining modulated taps (Diffusion) to create a cheap but convincing reverb.

Mono and Stereo Panner / Surround Mixer

Mix 51 is made up of two main components. First, there are Mono and Stereo Panner plugins that can be placed on track inserts to pan, mix and route audio to the Mix 51 Surround Mixer buses. Second, the Mix 51 Surround Mixer plugin provides 30 channels of outputs, grouped as three 5.1 main buses and three quad auxiliary buses. Surround Mixer is an RTAS plugin which can be placed on any mono or stereo track. A single instance of this plugin manages all Mix 51 surround inputs and outputs in a Pro Tools Session, so it is not necessary to have more than one Surround Mixer in any one Session. Because its inputs come from Surround Panner plugins and its outputs appear as Pro Tools track inputs, it is not critical where you place the Surround Mixer plugin, as it does not process any audio on the track where it is located. The audio is simply passed through from input to output.
