Galactic Reverb is an algorithmic reverb plugin that captures the expansive sound of coveted classic hardware digital reverbs. With a decay time up to 35 seconds, it enables users to create massive, beautiful aural spaces. Galactic is a natural for transporting guitars, drums, keys, and even vocals into an extraterrestrial ambience. Based on a reverb algorithm featured in Cherry Audio’s smash hit Dreamsynth virtual instrument, the Galactic plugin adds modulation controls, predelay, and an equalizer. We’ve also added a remarkable ducking function for automatically reducing reverb levels while a singer or an instrument is playing to improve mix clarity, no sidechain required! Ducking can also be used to dramatically alternate between super dry and immense reverb tails, setting Galactic apart from other spacey reverbs. Galactic is intuitive to use and produces musical results at lightspeed. Galactic includes our convenient preset browser, loaded with over 50 ethereal presets. It can be used as an insert or bus effect, and is fully compatible with mono or stereo sources. Bypass the compressor. Initiate the matter-antimatter integrator. Engage the warp drive and go Galactic!
The vintage breeze of classic studio equipment combined with modern day, easy to apply digital processing makes this bundle the perfect chain of tools for everyday mixing.
Ratshack Reverb is a detailed model of that classic of classics, the Realistic Electronic Reverb. Now, you can have the sound of everyone’s first analog delay unit, without ever having to change batteries! As anyone who has owned this unit (which is just about everyone…) knows, it was actually an analog delay, and we’ve done our best to exactly replicate the sound and quirks of the original. We’ve even modeled the distortion that occurs by running a line signal in to the mic inputs.
Lore is an advanced sound design workstation inspired by musique concrète, microsound and other pioneering sound technologies of the past several decades. It combines spectral and granular engines along with several other features designed to unleash the power of microsonic resynthesis.
Shrike is an advanced shimmer designer. It processes an octave-shifted reverb through a matrix of 4 LFOs to create pulsating, fluctuating space effects. Between the different LFO settings (rate and waveform) you can generate cross-modulation from the controls, getting pulses and swell patterns that never repeat. For example, it is interesting to set different rates per control for overlapping, modulating spaces. Or turn the LFO rates toward the fastest speed for amplitude modulation artifacts. A slapback delay adds to the sound design possibilities as you can adjust it according to your spatial feedback needs.
Ember is a sophisticated microsound collage tool that employs granular resynthesis to configure complex sound composites. Inspired by musique concrète pioneers of the past several decades, Ember harnesses modern digital algorithms with classic splicing techniques to create dense and evolving soundscapes. Point it to a folder of sounds and Ember will generate a composite of granular textures that you can later use in your electronic composition process. Ember employs granular resynthesis in the powerful Csound sound programming language to explore a collage of sounds on the particle level. Select a folder containing more than one sound and an output folder. Hit “Render” and Ember pulls a number of sounds from the folder and selects a playback slice from each one. It then creates granular composites of all sounds together with various time stretching, density and spatial algorithms.
